Tertius: Ravenloft Redux
The Prince has requested another attempt, and so, in accordance with the agreement for his containment, the clock is rewound once again. He is nothing if not persistent. This time I have used the destruction of Prast to collect our pieces, though none of these original shells will survive the ordeal, some of them not even reaching the Dread Realm. It is a trifle unsettling, as revenge can be so easily leveraged to force a man into doing what you want of him. I am not worried though, I already won this game 37 times before – this time shall be no different. I have chosen this “Dean Orobeo” to be the conduit this time. He is mad for power, though does not fully appreciate its cost – yet. His rebellion against those who stifle creativity is of little consequence, as it does nothing to alleviate the mortal condition to which we all succumb eventually. I have helped him acquire the ritual book for “The Hand of God” so that he might trigger a catastrophe that can open the gates of Ravenloft, and my pawns shall be swept up with him. I shall endeavor to record their progress in this journal, as I have before, so that History might be served with its insufferable Records it demands of me.
