Koshka’s Journal #11
Jack is not all that we had hoped surprisingly. He has not but lied to us since his arrival and has no definite plan of escape. He wishes for us to lead some creature down into evil so far as be irredeemable and watch what this world does to it. This is less than an ideal plan and worse, provides no real course of action save torturing a potential innocent. He has suggested:
This leaves us with Alnozo’s plan, of which he has given us a new branch. He wishes for us to plant books of a sinister nature in libraries across the world for young Jack to find. They are:
This plan at least has action but the ultimate goal is still perhaps non-valid.
We have decided to proceed with both plans for now as leading young Jack down the path will serve both lords’ purposes and Jack is destined to fall in any case Koshka supposes. This is however, a slippery line Koshka walks.
But to give Koshka time to think on this, we have decided to seek out Van Richten. His skills in killing creatures may be invaluable should it come to killing Alonzo or Jack in the end. And we are already nearby and Koshka is loathe to start working for Alonzo.
Perhaps it is moot however as we have no recent leads on the whereabouts of the old monster hunter. The one lead we could follow led us to an old hag in the swamps that turned out to be Obeah’s aunt. This in turn revealed that Obeah is some sort of wereorc creature that intense emotion can cause to shift. He retains his sanity however so perhaps it is only as bad as what is happening to Caspar, perhaps even not as bad.
We did find a ritual room of interest in the hags cabin however, with all the ingredients, Koshka knows, needed to create another spawn that would be as Obeah but under the control of the hags. This is something Koshka does not wish to see. Perhaps the libraries will have to wait while we search out these hags.
